Position:Application Developer(SQL Server)
Duration:4+ months
Location:Irvine, CA
Must have
SQL Server 2005/2008, WebServices,Visual Studio or ASP.Net., OOP.
Large scale, highly structured database experience required
Primary responsibilities include:
• Designing and building SQL Server database solutions from scratch, using logical & physical design methods and maintaining existing database applications
• Accessing production databases and data warehouses (SQL Server, IBM-DB2, and Oracle) using ANSI SQL (or platform specific – i.e T-SQL/PL-SQL)
• Developing ER-Diagrams, constructing schemas, and providing data flowcharts
• Gathering, scrubbing, and manipulating raw data to create ad-hoc reports, mail merge form letters, and supplemental data-sources
• Designing, Developing/Maintaining, Testing, and Documenting WEB-based business applications for the Clinical Analytics division
• Analyzing and assisting in preparing/gathering business requirements.
• Participate in all phases of the development life cycle in accordance with application specifications and business requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to team members, as required, to ensure a quality end product.
• Provide training and technical assistance to staff members.
• Provide assistance for server administration and server security.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years experiences in application development utilizing: SQL Server, Visual Studio.net, ASP.net, ADO.net, Web Services, VB-Script or JavaScript, HTML, XML, T-SQL, IIS
• Must possess strong database skills using SQL Server 2005/2008: 5 Years experience w/SQL Server (Proficient in writing complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, & using SSIS)
• Strong Transact SQL and data normalization experience, including large, highly-structured databases.
• Experience w/SSRS and building Business Intelligence & OLAP cubes is desirable
• AJAX, XML, XSLT, DHTML, SQL Reporting Services, Access and VBA are all a plus
• Strong knowledge of OOP
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze and translate business ideas into IT solutions. Must be able to collaborate with other business units, and coordinate all activities with our IT staff
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, and exhibits excellent initiative, intensity, and motivation
• Good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with other team members
• BS in computer science, or a related degree required. MCAD/MCSD is highly preferred!
• Health Industry background is a major plus
